By the time a new restaurant is on the review sites, it may already have a hood cleaner

The license record is public as soon as the city issues it. In the brief above, Chicago issued the license on September 2 and the brief was verified on September 9. The brief says what the record establishes and what it does not, so your team can decide whether an introduction is worth making now.

Finding new kitchens by hand

  • Driving past construction paper on a storefront window and hoping it is a kitchen.
  • A tip from a supplier or a friend in the trade, weeks after the fact.
  • Review sites and social posts, which appear after opening night.
  • Generic restaurant lists that mix new openings with diners that opened twenty years ago.

With Opening Ledger

  • City license and inspection records checked for your territory, with a summary every week.
  • Each candidate researched: operator, address, first-party website, contact route.
  • A brief with dates and sources, so you know exactly how fresh the signal is.
  • Unknowns stated up front, and a candidate that does not fit is reported as not a fit.

Research you can check, delivered to your sales team

City records identify the candidates. We do the matching and contact research, and every brief keeps its sources visible.

1

Tell us where and what you serve

Your city, the kinds of kitchens you want to hear about, and any current customers to exclude. You do not need to connect any software or upload any files.

2

We research each new filing

Candidates come from city license and inspection records. We match the business, find its public contact route and record every source with the date we observed it.

3

Your team decides who to call

Briefs arrive with a short factual introduction you can adapt. Whether and how to reach out stays entirely with your company.

Coverage today: Chicago and New York City

Research uses each city’s own records and stays inside its boundaries; suburbs are not covered yet. Paid coverage opens once a territory’s sources pass our freshness checks.

Before you subscribe

The questions owners and sales managers ask before a pilot.

Does the pilot renew automatically?

No. The $399 pilot ends after four weeks. The $799 monthly subscription requires a separate, explicit checkout.

How many opportunities will I receive?

There is no guaranteed number. A candidate may be stale, irrelevant or insufficiently supported. We deliver qualifying briefs and report what was actually reviewed, including quiet weeks and coverage interruptions.

Are territories exclusive?

No. Permitted public research may be relevant to multiple subscribers. Your exclusions, notes and outcomes remain private.

Which areas do you cover?

Initial source coverage is Chicago city limits and all five NYC boroughs. It excludes the surrounding metro areas. Purchase availability depends on source and quality checks.

Will you contact restaurants for us?

No. You receive a sourced brief and a suggested factual introduction. Your company decides whether and how to contact the business.

What happens if a fact changes?

We preserve the earlier brief and issue a linked correction to affected customers. A correction does not consume another review credit.
